Role specifics and benefits: - Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations across acute, post-acute, and outpatient contexts; craft evidence-based, patient-centered treatment plans; deliver targeted interventions to improve Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), upper-limb function, fine motor skills, sensory integration, cognitive-communication tasks, and psychosocial participation. Apply therapeutic techniques to address cognitive rehabilitation, motor planning, rehabilitation for trauma or stroke, and neurological or orthopedic conditions, always aligning with patient goals and safety. Train and fit adaptive equipment, modify environments for accessibility, and teach home exercise programs to sustain progress. Document progress in electronic health records, communicate with the care team, and participate in discharge planning to optimize transitions back to home or community-based supports.
