About This Contract

Imagine stepping into a purpose-driven Travel Registered Nurse role focused on Oncology, where every patient interaction strengthens the fabric of compassionate cancer care. This weeks-long assignment in California’s Central Valley places you in Hanford, a welcoming community that blends real hometown warmth with opportunities to grow your clinical expertise in oncology nursing. Beginning 03/30/2026, you’ll join a team that values precision, empathy, and continuous learning as you deliver advanced treatments, coordinate individualized care plans, and support patients and families through challenging journeys. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on life trajectories while you explore the Golden State’s diverse landscapes, from the rolling orchards and scenic farmland of the valley to weekend trips along the foothills and beyond. California’s natural beauty invites renewal after shifts, and the state’s vibrant communities offer culture, cuisine, and a sense of possibility that complements the rewards of oncology nursing.

Location Benefits: Hanford sits in the heart of California’s rich agricultural corridor, offering a calm, community-centered environment with easy access to larger urban centers, coastlines, and mountains within a few hours’ drive. Working here means shorter commutes, closer connections with patients and colleagues, and the chance to be part of a tight-knit healthcare ecosystem that prioritizes patient outcomes and staff well-being. The location also serves as a gateway to opportunities across the United States through our travel program, allowing you to experience premiere oncology units in different settings, expand your professional network, and refine your skills in diverse teams. You’ll enjoy the benefits of a stable, supportive host community while you travel as needed for the program, with housing options and practical support designed to ease transitions. California’s climate brings you mild winters and sunny days that enhance your quality of life between shifts, and your weekends can be filled with outdoor exploration, local farmers markets, and seasonal festivals that celebrate the region’s agricultural heart and cultural vibrancy. Our travel network emphasizes safety, reliability, and the cultural richness of each location, so you can plan immersive experiences while advancing your career.

Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Travel Registered Nurse in Oncology, you’ll provide expert bedside care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive treatments. You’ll assess symptom clusters, monitor treatment responses, administer complex regimens with precision, manage line care and infusion devices, and collaborate closely with medical oncologists, pharmacists, social workers, and palliative care specialists. You’ll educate patients and families about treatment plans, expected timelines, potential side effects, and nutrition and symptom management strategies, helping them navigate decisions with confidence. Your role will include coordinating discharge planning, connecting patients with community resources, and contributing to cancer survivorship planning. This position emphasizes growth within the oncology specialty—opportunities to deepen knowledge in tumor biology, treatment modalities, and patient education, with access to continuing education resources and mentorship from experienced oncology teams. Compensation reflects market competitiveness: weekly pay ranging from $1,685 to $1,806, with potential bonuses associated with program milestones, performance, and length of assignment. Housing assistance reduces relocation friction, and extension opportunities allow you to continue building relationships with facilities that value your dedicated service and clinical judgment. While traveling, you’ll have 24/7 support from a centralized team, ensuring you always have clinical, logistical, and personal assistance whenever you need it. Note that hours are variable and not guaranteed at the outset, with a flexible schedule designed to balance patient needs and your well-being during weeks-long engagements.

The program also highlights practical benefits designed to support your success beyond the bedside: competitive per diem or salary enhancements tied to assignment length, housing stipends or fully provided housing, and easy extension options that recognize your clinical impact and team fit. You’ll be paired with a dedicated clinical liaison who understands oncology workflows and the unique demands of travel nursing, helping you navigate credentialing, unit orientations, and local hospital policies. With 24/7 travel support, you’ll feel secure whether you’re adjusting to a new unit, managing patient load, or seeking guidance on complex care decisions. The program emphasizes safety, compliance, and professional development, ensuring you stay current with evolving guidelines in oncology best practices and infection control
