Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and physician orders.
- Provide direct therapy services addressing communication skills, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and safe swallowing.
- Perform and interpret swallow assessments (clinical and/or instrumental, as appropriate) and make diet modification recommendations.
- Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans, communication strategies, and safe swallowing techniques; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or CFY status with supervision.
- Prior experience in a SNF or geriatric setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic deficits, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
