Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging
- Perform radiographic procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring correct positioning and technique per orders
- Explain X-ray procedures to patients, address questions, and assist with mobility as needed
- Operate radiologic equipment safely, minimize patient dose, and follow ALARA principles
- Maintain accurate patient records, verify information in electronic systems, and send images to PACS
- Observe patient status and tailor imaging approaches to age-specific needs
- Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for radiologist interpretation; report equipment issues promptly
- Adhere to dual patient identifier protocols and maintain proper image labeling and documentation

Requirements
- NYS license (or ability to obtain license prior to starting)
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience; OR experience in a trauma-1 center setting preferred
- Recent OR experience with C-arm/O-arm (within last 8 months)
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
