Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures as ordered, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Position patients correctly and select appropriate exposure factors; operate radiography equipment safely.
- Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
- Review images, document procedures, and communicate findings with radiologists and care teams as needed.
- Maintain imaging equipment, participate in routine quality control, and assist with basic troubleshooting.
- Provide patient-focused care during night shifts, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication with anxious or pediatric patients as appropriate.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R) certification is required.
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License is required to practice in Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a weekend schedule (Friday–Sunday).
