Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, monitoring, patient assessment, and education.
- Perform critical care and ventilator management, adjusting settings per orders and monitoring patient response.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the respiratory care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure equipment safety, perform routine maintenance, and uphold compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
- Document patient care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes to the care team.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT) in Montana
- Current RRT certification
- Critical care and ventilator management experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, short-term acute care setting; rotating shifts as needed
- Eligible for travel assignments and able to adapt to varying clinical environments
