Travel Surgical Tech Job

Overview
Surgical Tech travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Watertown, New York. Start date: 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,856–$1,998 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in the operating room for orthopedic and general procedures, ensuring a sterile field and proper instrument handling.
- Prepare and pass surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies; manage instrument counts with the surgical team.
- Support surgeons and the anesthesia team during procedures, including handling robotic (DaVinci) equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of instruments and OR equipment in accordance with policy and safety standards.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning; monitor sterile technique and respond to intraoperative changes under RN supervision.
- May precept or mentor new staff and contribute to unit workflow, turnover, and room turnover efficiency.
- Arrive within 30 minutes of being called in and adhere to department policies, safety protocols, and documentation requirements.

Requirements
- Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT certification required; must be certified
- Experience: Travel experience required; orthopedic OR scrubbing experience; scrub tech experience; DaVinci robotics experience
- Education: Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience with successful completion of a medications exam
- Licenses/credentials: BLS required
- Other: Must reside within 100 miles of the work location; able to work 7:00 am–3:30 pm; weekend, call, and holiday coverage required
- Compliance: Must be able to function under direct supervision of an RN and deliver routine and delegated duties per hospital standards
